HCG Update!

Hello my ladie friends :)) sooo.... I have been doing this hcg diet for a couple weeks now, I know I told you guys that I would be doing more updates and videos but I just have not had the time, with work and getting ready to move at the end of this month. So I want to update you guys so badly! So Im just gonna do it thru blogging :)

Loading Days:

During your loading days you need to consume as much fats as possible. You basically have to stay full for two full days. This was fun.... for the first day HAHA! By half way thru the day I felt so gross:). But I was a trooper and made it thru.

Low Calorie Days:

During these days your taking your drops and eating 500 calories a day. My experience so far with this is pretty good its got its ups and downs, but I have a overall positive experience with it.

I am currently 16 days in and I have lost 11 LBS!!!

My experience:

First Week:
My first day was fantastic! Holy cow, I had so much energy, was so easy to get up and I was in a good mood brighter than usual ;). Surprisingly the 500 calories a day for food filled me up I was amazed at that. There were periods during the day where I would feel hungry if i wasnt on HCG but because of the ingredients in the drops I just felt empty and had no hunger pains at all! It was incredible! The rest of the days followed really well I was more than content with how things were going it was tuff for sure but only cause im a major muncher and love sweets! But I got thru the weekend really breezy like. In my first week I went down 4 lbs, now I should have lost more that is not 1 lb a day, well I got my lady friend which is not good on this diet because you retain so much water and I really saw that and I had it for way longer than I usually do. So that stalled my weight loss quite a bit. But a good overal weight loss, and I could start to see my body shaping quite a bit with just those 4 pounds gone it was nice to see :)

Second Week:
Moving in to the second week I was still doing good cravings here and there, over the weekend I hooked up with my girl, and we went out to IHOP for dinna, I tried sooooo hard to stay within my portions and allowed food and i totally did!!......but..... they brought me a garlic bread which im not allowed to have, omg you should have seen me it was so funny. I ripped the bread in half.... and then in half again, my bread is now in 4 pieces,... and then i take one piece and split that in two again, and just kinda stare ( what do i do, what do i do, what do i do....) so what do i do i take a tiny bit...(mmmm soooooo goood ) and then i finish it lol and im done! haha! I was sooo good! UNTIL... she mentioned a frapp, crap I saw her whip and it was pretty much over I got a Mocha Cookie Frapp OMG It was delicious!!!!

I completely regretted it afterwards tho, I was really bloated and felt yucky for the rest of the night. The rest of this week I was really good and motivated. At this point I'm down 7lbs. A few days after my splurge I woke up and I lost 4 more pounds!! Yippee!

Third Week:
I'm just in the beginning stages of the third week now, and I havent lost anything so far. But I put on some of my smaller clothes the other day and you can tell ive lost some weight and that feels fantastic. I will say that these last few days my cravings seem to be stronger, its a challenge to not let it get to you but when you think of the result its just NOT WORTH IT!!! So Im hoping for some more loss at the end of this week and keep you guys updated :)) as best I can.

Thanks for listening any question you have definitely leave a comment and we'll chat :)

Curly Hair TAG

Hey Ladies!!! Here is another!!!

I Tag all of you Curly Cues out there ;)

1. What inspired you to go natural or wear your hair curly?
When my hair is long I like to wear it curly more often than now when my hair is midlength. I like the way my curls form better when its shorter but I don’t like how boxy it can look. I usually wear my curly when I want a wild look or when I need to give my hair a break on heat styling.

2. Who are your favorite curly hair idols?
Julia Roberts has great curls, I know there are more but im not one for being put on the spot haha

3. Which You Tube curly would you trade curls with for a day?
Im not so sure that I follow any naturally curly guru’s :s that sounds horrible if I do I definitely cannot see them in my head right now sorrry ladies!!

4. If you could have only one product for a year, which product would you chose?
I would have to say that this will be my John Frieda Volumizing Spray that stuff works wonderssss!

5. If you could change one thing about your curls what would it be?
The way my curls are formed! I wish there werent so tight and wish they were uniform! Mine are tight curls at the root then they loosen up in the middle and go almost straight at the ends! So hard to work with!!!

6. What's the craziest thing you've tried on your "natural hair journey"?
Ummm I havent really gone this route with my hair.

7. What's your secret ingredient that your curls LOVE the most?
Condition, condition, condition. I cannot stress this enough.

8. If you could merge two brands of products to make your perfect product, which two would it be?
Hmmm. I don’t really use awhole lot of products but I would say my John Frieda Volumizing Spray and my Kenra Volumizing Spray.

9. What is your go-to hair style when you're in a rush?
Either the bang bump or a messy bun if I have long hair or low pony if I have short hair, and sometimes ill do a french braid.

10. If your curly hair had a name, what would it be and why?
Spoiled. Because it does what it wants when it wants! No matter how much I redirect and try to force it a certain way my curls have a mind of there own, better just to listen makes the day much less frustrating haha.

Thanks for tuning in once again

Love always Tiny.

Gonna have to say Bronzer for this one, since it not only warms up the face but can also be used as a blush or a contour, if its matte.

Mascara for sure!

Foundation or Concealer?
Foundation for sure, don’t know what I'd do without it HeHe.

Look What I Got!!

OMGEEE!

Ladies I am super duper stoked!

Earlier this week one of my favorite MUA's I follow on twitter subbed to my YouTube channel!!!!
Super stoked about that! When you have a minute Check out her Blog too!

Annd I got my first makeup up books! I am super excited to get all the information and start applying it! As I learn I will show you guys on here as much as I can :))

Before I went out and bought anything I looked into it a bit, rather than going to the book store blind.

I am on a handful of MU Groups on FB and I talked to alot of girls on there about the books that worked the best for them and then I went to the store and grabbed all the books that they had in stock one of each sat down and went thru each book, the ones that appealed to me the most for what I looking to learn at this time were these two books.

Bobbi Brown - Makeup Manual

This is an amazing book for any beginner. Its simply written and attractive to the eye, easy to understand from what I've observed so far. Its very detailed oriented and it even has a section at the end for the professional side of things, if your interested in that direction. It also has looks in there and step by step directions on how to recreate it.

I also got....

Scott Barnes - About Face

From just sitting in the book store looking at this book, I am already so amazed! Scott Barnes is a celebrity makeup artist one of the artists he does is Jennifer Lopez! He talks about his style in application and most of the book is his transfirmations, Celebrity Transformations, they have a step by step guide on how to recreate it, and he goes thru a conversation with them and does a look, and has thier feedback on it as well! Along with all that greatness hes got his tips on everything you need to know about makeup.

I snapped a lil photo for you to see, mostly cause I got excited and wanted to show em off haha!

I am sooo excited to dive in!

I will keep you all posted on the content!

How To: Eye Shape Series

Part One: Finding Your Eye Shape

Knowing your eye shape is just as important as knowing what colors work best with your skintone and which colors make your eye color pop. Knowing how to apply your shadow and liner to get the best results from the shape of your eye is whats going to make you stand out from the rest. Here are tricks for most common kinds of eye shapes out there, so you can make the most out of dem eyez :))

DEEP SET

Deep set eyes are larger than your average eye and set deeper into the skull, which can make your brow bone seem prominent. Try brightening your natural shadowing and place a light beige or light metallic color on your lid (think peach) and highlight just under your arches with and illuminating shadow or cream. Your lashes will most likely hit your lids so be sure to wear waterproof mascara ;)

MONOLID

Monolids are flat on the surface and don't have much of a crease, if any and the brow bone is less defined. You want to create definition and an illusion of a standard eyes by gradiating your eye shadow ( dark to light). To do this you will want to have the darkest color closest to the last line, the soft natural color in the middle and the highlighted color right at the brow bone. Don’t forget to curl those lashes!

HOODED

Hooded eyes have a puffy or saggy crease and top lid that usually falls over the crease which causes the actual lid of your eye to look smaller. In order to draw the focus upward, put a darker shadow over and out past your crease. To intensify, enlarge your eye shape and make your lashes look thicker tightline, as they can disappear under the lip fold.

PROTRUDING

Protruding eyes make it seem like the eyes are projected from the socket. Luckily, the bulge gives you plenty of lid space to play with! In order to keep your lid from overpowering the look create a contour darker colors all over your eye, to recede the space your contouring. Smoky eyes are perfect with this eye shape. Accompany with a thick liner to take up space as well.

UPTURNED

The upturned eye also known as the almond eye, with a natural lift at the outer corners. In most cases, the lower lid has the apperance that its longer. To even out the upper and lower lids, apply a dark color to the outer corner on the lower lid to tone down the lifted effect.  Always use the mirror effect by bringing the colors that you used on the top lid down to the bottom lash line.

DOWNTURNED

Downturned eyes are slightly dropped at the outer corner. This shape is perfect for the classic cat eye. Apply your line on a 45 degree angle, the effect will create a sexy symmetrical look, you will look delectably sultry.

CLOSE SET

Close set eyes are less than one eyeball width apart. In order to make it seem as though you have more space in between the eyes all you need is a light eye shadow in your inner corners. Frosty whites or glittery nudes, pretty much any highlight color. To pull the focus away from the center or your eye, add more mascara or individual lashes to the outer corners.

WIDE SET

Wide set eyes are more than one eyeball width apart. To give the illusion of a smaller space between your eyes, rim the top and bottom lash line as close to the inner corner as you can with a black liner. When putting on your mascara overdirect your lashes towards your nose, this will make help bring your eyes together and they will appear closer together.

Part Two: Making The Most Of Your Eye Shape

The best way to make the most of what your working with, is knowing your shape and knowing how to apply your makeup, in a way that mimics the illusion of 'the perfect eye'. In this part of the series I will be detailing  how to apply your makeup on each different eye shape to get this 'perfect eye'.

DEEP SET
  • Use a light shade from your lash line to your brow bone
  • Place a medium contour color just above the crease and blend upward
  • Dot highlighter on the inner corners
  • Apply your liner as close to the lash line as you can, less is best with this eye shape
  • Put mascara on your upper and lower lashes and comb through them with a metal comb

MONO LID

  • Apply a light or medium toned shadow from your lash line to the brow bone
  • Concentrate dark to deep neutral tones just about your crease, remember to apply the color lightly towards the brow
  • Keep your liner thin and close to the lash line.
  • Place your favorite highlighter on your brow bone
  • To create the illusion of an open bright eye curl your lashes and apply mascara to the top lashes only.

HOODED

  • Start off with placing your highlight on your inner corners
  • In the crease wherever it is bulging or puffy, apply a matte dark shadow
  • Place liner from the inner corner to the outer corner. Never put liner under the lower lashes, it will accentuate the bulging of the eye
  • Play up your lashes with mascara, especially the outer lashes, only put very little or no mascara on the bottom lashes

(picture does not reflect instructions)

PROTRUDING

  • Place dark shadow on your lid blending up towards your crease
  • Apply liner on top lid, on lower lid`s outer corner
  • Place highlighter on your brow bone
  • Do not use light frosted colors on your eyelid, it will make your eyes pop out further
  • Tightline on your upper and lower lash line to make your eyes appear smaller

UPTURNED

  • Apply a light shade from the lash line to the brow bone
  • Apply a medium shade on your lid
  • Place a darker color on the outer corner of your lid and really blend it out
  • Thinly line your upper and lower lashes , if desired
  • Apply mascara on upper and lower lashes

DOWN TURNED

  • Create a guide with your eyeliner, line your eyes first, start at the inner corner once you get past your pupil sweep up and out.
  • Next create a line on the lower lashes that is parallels with the top lid sweeping it up and out
  • Apply a medium toned shadow all over your lid
  • Place a contour shade in your crease using your eyeliner as your guide, make sure your contour does not meet at your liner
  • Apply your favorite highlighter to your brow bone
  • Apply mascara to upper lashes only

CLOSE SET

  • Put a light color on the inner half of your lid from the corner to the brow bone
  • Place a medium color on the outer half of your lid, blend, blend, blend
  • Line your eye from the inner corner bringing it up as you get to the outer edge and extend it a bit
  • Apply highlighter on your inner corner
  • Apply mascara on top lashes, if you put mascara on your lower lashes be sure to only put them on the outer lashes.

WIDE SET

  • Apply a light/medium shadow from your lash line to your brow bone
  • Put a medium or dark shadow in the inner corners pulling it up and out towards your temples
  • Line your whole eye from inner corners to outer corners on the top lash line, make sure its a thin line and close to the lash line.
  • When applying mascara concentrate on the center lashes
